Abu Dhabi(WAM): President H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Sunday afternoon left here for Kuwait to head UAE delegation at the 1st Arab Economic Summit, which opens tomorrow in the Kuwaiti capital and ends on 20.
He was seen off on departure by Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Prime Minister, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a number of sheikhs, senior officials and the Charged'Affaires at the Kuwaiti Embassy, Abdul nasir Al-Hajji.
The UAE President is being accompanied by a high-level delegation consisting of Dubai Deputy Ruler, H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Minister for Presidential Affairs, H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Economy Minister, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs, Ahmed Juma Al Za'abi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt, Ahmed Ali Mail Al Za'abi, who is also the UAE Permanent Ambassador to the Arab League and UAE Ambassador to Kuwait, Hassan Salim Obaid Al-Khayyal.
The Arab Economic Summit will discuss, among other issues, the repercussions of the global financial crisis on the economies of Arab countries, ways to solve those problems and how best to coordinate among these countries to create real economic partnership to expedite socio-economic development growth |
